Based on scientific studies we know the coronavirus (Covid-19) can get trapped in rooms and remain active for hours, circulating in heating and air conditioning systems (even in rooms without either systems of ventilation). This has caused places such as restaurants and bars to become coronavirus hotspots around the world.

However, what about outdoors. Plants are a natural filtration system that produce oxygen. Cities with more trees and plants often have better air quality. Major cities such as London and New York which are densely populated and have mass transit systems have less plants and more air quality issues. What is the air quality like in each city under such circumstances in outdoor spaces, as it pertains to the coronavirus (with so many people coughing and exhaling the virus into the air).

Proper air quality tests need to be done by scientists to ascertain the volume of coronavirus in the air in outdoor spaces and how it intersects with other pollutants, such as exhaust (and during flu season as well). There are too many factors at play regarding this issue. Coronavirus is worsening air quality.
