Sweden Suffers The Worst Coronavirus Rates In Europe Due To Herd Immunity Strategy Confirming Previous Site Claims

UPDATE: To clarify, Sweden has more cases per capita. Hence my comparison of the two populations (Britain and Sweden).

This week the nation of Sweden has opted to abandon the herd immunity strategy they undertook to address the coronavirus pandemic that hit Europe at the outset of 2020 and has not abated. Sweden's herd immunity approach has resulted in the nation experiencing over 7,000 new coronavirus cases per day, which is enormous for a nation of their size.

Sweden, a nation of 10,230,000 people, now leads Europe with the highest daily infection rates regarding coronavirus (Covid-19) having overtaken significantly more populous Britain, which has a population of 66,000,000. The Swedish government is alarmed at what has occurred.

There are two serious factors at play that makes herd immunity a dangerous strategy regarding coronavirus (Covid-19). This is not the Spanish Flu of 1918. There are components to the "novel" (new) coronavirus (Covid-19) that reveals it is being malicious, evasive and adaptive like germ warfare (and no, this is not evolution at play).

The one advantage the world currently has is modern medicine is far more advanced than in 1918. Nonetheless, over 1,420,000 million people have died and counting, with America accounting for a quarter of that figure (this is despite the fact India and China are more populous). The approach to addressing the virus matters, as herd immunity is very deadly with a virus of this nature.

Secondly, this is 2020, where too many people have weak immune systems due to poor dietary habits and lack of exercise. Every other commercial on television is for fattening fast food or high fat products available in stores.

Obesity is rampant in the west, which weakens the immune system. This is something the world must improve. Too many people have impaired immune systems due to obesity and are in danger of potentially becoming a coronavirus fatality for this reason, as opposed to someone whose natural defenses can successfully fight off the virus.

Sweden Sees No Signs So Far Herd Immunity Is Stopping Virus

November 24, 2020, 10:20 AM EST Updated on November 24, 2020, 12:22 PM EST - There’s little evidence that herd immunity is helping Sweden combat the coronavirus, according to the country’s top epidemiologist. “The issue of herd immunity is difficult,” Anders Tegnell said at a briefing in Stockholm on Tuesday. “We see no signs of immunity in the population that are slowing down the infection right now.”

Swedes have been more exposed to the virus than their neighbors elsewhere in the Nordic region, and every third Stockholmer tested has antibodies, according to figures published this week. That’s after the country famously opted against a lockdown, relying instead on voluntary measures...

Sweden was recently forced to recalibrate its approach against the virus, as the daily case rate topped 7,000. In what Prime Minister Stefan Lofven called an “unprecedented” step earlier this month, Swedes will no longer be free to gather in public in groups larger than eight. The sale of alcohol is now also banned after 10 p.m.

Lofven used a rare televised address on Sunday to plead with his countrymen to do more. “The health and lives of people are still in danger, and the danger is increasing,” he said...
