Boris Johnson

The New York Times did an in-depth article on Britian’s prime minister, Boris Johnson, contracting coronavirus (Covid-19). From the start Johnson has tried to downplay the severity of his infection, as the press and public scolded him for taking coronavirus very lightly. So lightly, he jeopardized the health and lives of millions of Britons with terrible advice, in telling everyone to go out and about in public as they normally would, and contract coronavirus, as "herd immunity" would protect the country. Now Britain has the highest infection rate in Europe.

Before becoming infected Johnson went on television in Britain and publicly laughed at coronavirus. He infamously stated he was shaking hands with patients who tested positive for the virus. Shortly after, Johnson began exhibiting symptoms of the dangerous virus he mocked.

The New York Times listed many instances in British history where the government covered up the serious illnesses and conditions of elected prime ministers, so as not to concern the public. The same can be said in America as well, as some presidents have covered up serious health problems as well.

Johnson has been in hospital since Saturday night, struggling with coronavirus. After the first night in the hospital, Johnson was admitted to the intensive care unit, with his condition having worsened.

As I stated on Twitter, prior to news breaking that his health had taken a turn for the worse and he was sent to the intensive care unit, one is not admitted to hospital without cause. You have to meet a certain medical criteria to be admitted to any hospital, especially during a pandemic (as the world is currently experiencing with coronavirus).

Boris is very ill. He has been in hospital for 5-nights, 4 of which were spent in the intensive care unit. That's not a joke. To have a persistent fever and unrelenting coughing for 11-days under coronavirus indicates one is quite ill.

It is alarming that Johnson did not see a doctor for over 11-days while the virus rages in his body. He was making serious decisions concerning Britain, and very poorly might I add, while suffering from a high temperature, which can lead to delirium. He was likely suffering from hallucinations as well, with the virus having advanced to that degree in his system. No head of state should be making decisions in that state.

CNN television host, Andrew Cuomo, was pummeled by the coronavirus. He stated he shivered so much he chipped his teeth. He also began experiencing hallucinations, as he stated he saw his deceased father, the late politician, Mario Cuomo. Cuomo also had shortness of breath.

Therefore, the coronavirus is very real and so are its effects. Johnson should not have been permitted to remain in Downing Street for 2-weeks in that deteriorated mental and physical state, with reports he was "barricaded in" the office. That was outrageous. He could have died. A prime minister must be of sound mind. Then again, many feel Boris never was, which means coronavirus only made it worse.

During said time Johnson kept promoting herd immunity and failed to lockdown Britain, which has created a dangerous situation in the nation, leading to a record number of infections. If the infected are not treated in time, it will lead to a record number of deaths.
