The U.S. Food And Drug Administration Confirms Breast Implants Can Cause Cancer As Stated Previously On This Site March 24. 2017
Breast implants This is a follow up to the October 23, 2014 Judiciary Report article "Are Butt Enhancement Procedures Used By Kim Kardashian, Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea And Nikki Mudarris Safe" which is also posted on my blog that is time stamped by Google's Blogspot, where I wrote, "In my humble belief, some breast implants are risky and can lead to breast cancer. Be careful introducing foreign substances to your body. Style and fashion are not worth your life. Trends come and go. You have to take care of your body for life." 3-years after my article October 23, 2014 "Are Butt Enhancement Procedures Used By Kim Kardashian, Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea And Nikki Mudarris Safe" the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released a warning this week, dated March 21, 2017, stating breast implants can cause a rare form of cancer. All of the information to date suggests that women with breast implants have a very low but increased risk of developing ALCL compared to women who do not have breast implants." In a statement released this week, the FDA stated they have received over 350 complaints of breast implants leading to cancer in the scar tissue around the implants. It's not worth the price of having big breasts, as various factors determine who is more likely to get cancer. 3-years ago I did not write it to scare people, but it is something I discovered during my research work in 2009. STORY SOURCE Breast implants linked to cancer Posted: Mar 23, 2017 6:58 PM EST - Updated: Mar 23, 2017 6:59 PM EST - There are new concerns after the headline about breast implants and cancer. Doctors told us they're getting an influx of calls from patients wondering if they're at risk. Let's clear up the confusion and find out who is at risk and who isn't. Doctors think the surface texture of a breast implant is causing the cancer. Research shows women are being diagnosed anytime from a year to 23 years after having the implants put in. Melissa Summerall's choice to get breast augmentation was to feel feel better about herself. "I had breast augmentation almost 10 years ago," she said. "It was for confidence." A decade later, she doesn't question her decision despite a cancer risk linked to breast implants. "Do your research. Know what you're getting into," Summerall said. The FDA has been researching this phenomenon for years. The extremely rare cancer is called Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma. Although doctors don't know for sure what's causing the cancer, researchers have found a majority of the cases involve implants with textured surfaces instead of smooth ones. "Here's the important thing. Your risk of dying everyday in a car accident is about 1 in 10,000. Your risk of contracting this disease is about 1 in 3 million," said Dr. Marc Schneider, a Fort Myers plastic surgeon. It's a low-risk that's making women aware – maybe for the first time – about this type of cancer. "If this makes women aware enough just to even get checked out, whether or not it has to do with implants, I think it's very important, and hopefully it's helpful," Summerall said. Check out the FDA's website for more information on their breast implant cancer research.
