Tory Lanez Found Guilty Of Shooting Fellow Rapper And Former Girlfriend Megan Thee Stallion (Video)

30-year-old entertainer, Tory Lanez (Daystar Peterson), has been found guilty in the shooting of ex-girlfriend and fellow rapper, Megan Thee Stallion (Megan Pete). Lanez was up on three charges: assault with a semi-automatic firearm, possession of a loaded illegal weapon in a vehicle, and discharging the firearm with gross negligence. He was convicted of them all in Los Angeles criminal court.

Tory remanded into custody and spent Christmas behind bars. His lawyers intend to file an appeal in the case. Tory is facing a potential 22-years in prison. The judge may give him half that number. Nonetheless, his freedom is gone.

The origin of the charges emanated from an argument Megan and Tory had in his SUV, which resulted in him shooting her feet, when she exited the vehicle and began walking away. The two were dating, but not exclusively. Tory was having sex with other women, such as Megan's former assistant and  best friend, Kelsey Harris, who did not know he was sleeping with the rapper as well. Kelsey became angry when Tory, who was trying to start trouble, told her with Megan present in the vehicle. Tory had also been flirting with empty-headed reality star, Kylie Jenner, which offended Megan.

Tory was angry when he discovered Megan had been having sex with a more successful rapper, Da Baby. His ego could not take it. The two also argued over the state of his career, as Megan expressed the view his career was not doing as well as it should be, which angered Tory. As Megan exited the vehicle and walked away, she stated Tory said, "dance bit**" and fired the weapon at her feet (police found gunshot residue on Tory and it was his illegal weapon that shot Megan). Megan underwent emergency surgery at a local hospital in Los Angeles to remove bullet fragments from her feet.

As I have maintained since the incident occurred, I do believe Tory shot Megan. There are things Megan has done in the industry that I do not agree with (her explicit lyrics, raunchy stage show, signing with devil worshipper Jay Z and their treatment of some in the entertainment industry, letting him sexually use her and pass her around the industry for career favors like the vile pimp he is), but she was assaulted and justice must be served.

You cannot go around shooting people because they said, wrote or did something you do not like. This case was not self-defense. She was an unarmed woman, dealing with an abusive woman, she wisely chose to walk away from. Then he shot her. Who knows what he would have done if she had stayed in the car and he fired at close range.

She could have been killed either way. Aiming for the feet, with the femoral artery in close vicinity, could have resulted in exsanguination had the shots hit her a bit higher (death within minutes). Had Tory discharged the weapon in the SUV she would have likely sustained worse injuries.

Tory has an anger management problem and keeps making poor choices. Traveling to any foreign country (America) and obtaining an illegal weapon was very unwise. That was just begging for trouble.

During the criminal trial for shooting Megan, Tory foolishly physically assaulted singer, August Alsina, which landed him in hot water with the judge. You know you are on trial accused of felonies, why assault someone and make things worse for yourself in front of the judge and jury. Again, this was very foolish and illustrated poor decision making.

Tory further violated the no-contact order the judge signed, instructing him to leave Megan alone (such orders are standard in domestic violence cases). Tory contacted Megan via social networking, which violated the judge's orders. The judge saw him in criminal court for shooting someone, then witnessed as he violated his order, and assaulted a second person. Which judge would think well of that.

These actions showed the judge and jury you are a criminal with no respect for the law and other people's rights. Tory only has himself to blame for his predicament. He was and is his own worst enemy. She didn't bring you down. You brought yourself down.
