Prosecutors in Los Angeles have filed criminal charges against rapper Tory Lanez for shooting his ex-girlfriend Megan Thee Stallion during a heated altercation. Megan dumped Tory for flirting with reality star Kylie Jenner at the latter's pool party. Tory did not take it well and shot Megan in the feet as she tried to leave the vehicle they were traveling in.

Initially police responding to complaints of shots fired in the neighborhood arrested Tory for illegal gun possession. They found Megan naked at the scene, as illustrated by a now deleted video that was posted to You Tube. Police transported Megan to the hospital, where she underwent surgery to remove bullet fragments from her feet.

Today prosecutors have added new charges against Tory, who outrageously tried to profit from shooting Megan (Tory Lanez Attempting To Profit From The Shooting Of Megan Thee Stallion With A New Album Slamming Her Is Unethical). He was hit with two felony charges for, "One count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle."

Some on social networking attempted to state Megan was not shot, believing Tory's side of the story. The new charges will put a spotlight on what occurred, as investigators clearly feel confident enough regarding the evidence. Hence the criminal charges. Tory is facing a maximum of 23-years in prison if convicted of the charges.

He faces two felony charges, one count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. The complaint states Lanez “inflicted great bodily injury” on Megan Thee Stallion.

A message sent to his representative was not immediately returned. Lanez, 28, is due to be arraigned Tuesday in Los Angeles. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of roughly 23 years. Lanez was arrested the night of the shooting but released after posting bail. Prosecutors are recommending that his bail be set at $1.1m at his arraignment...
