37-year-old biracial, African-American, Meghan Markle, also known as the Duchess of Sussex, and her husband, Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, welcomed a baby boy today in England. The former actress gave birth to their first child at 5:26AM this morning. The 7-pound 3-ounce baby, who has not been at this time, is the first black, mixed race child in the royal family in modern British history. He is seventh in line to the throne.

34-year-old Prince Harry stated of the birth of their son, “It’s been the most amazing experience I can ever possible imagine. How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension, and we’re both absolutely thrilled. This little thing is absolutely to die for, so I’m just over the moon.”

I look forward to seeing a photo online of the little baby. Congrats to the couple. I genuinely hope things will work out for them. However, l I feel like trouble is coming. I have concerns for the child. The royal family has its roots in Nazism. The Queen looked angry and grim at the couple’s wedding last year. Prince Philip looked sad and dejected at the wedding. It is clear this is not what they wanted for Harry. To each his own. I do not believe Harry and Meghan are meant to be (not because of race) but getting married is their decision.

The Sussexs have garnered a significant amount of public attention. Items online reveal the Sussexs are more popular than the Cambridges. They’ve completely overshadowed Harry’s older brother Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, and his wife Kate Middleton. In the time since this has occurred, the Sussexs have left Kensington Palace in London, where the Cambridges also dwell, for the smaller, inaccessible, significantly less grand Frogmore Cottage in the countryside. They weren‘t even given the grand Frogmore House.

Select people on social networking who hate Markle for being black, are stating it was the Queen’s way of showing her disapproval of the union. Conspiracy theorist online are even questioning the birth of the baby, referring to him as illegitimate and not a real royal, which is out of line and disrespectful. Leave the baby alone.

There are also unconfirmed items online stating the Queen is sending Harry and Meghan to Africa for 3-years. Considering “go back to Africa” is a slur used by racists, I don’t think that is appropriate. They should be in a house in London, where they could serve as a big tourist attraction. It would help repay the taxpayers, who are shelling out 100,000,000 per year for the upkeep of the royal family.

Diana was my favorite member of the royal family. However, since her death, things have occurred that make me question the whole concept of royalty. As a member of the Commonwealth, I initially did not object to them, as I thought them good for British tourism. However, due to things that have occurred in recent years, I am not a fan (I still like Prince Diana and Duchess Meghan though). At the end of the day, the idea of royalty is outdated in modern times. We’re all equal. A meritocracy is better.
