Lizzo
31-year-old Warner Bros singer, Lizzo, real name
Melissa Jefferson, recently appeared in the Jennifer Lopez film
"Hustlers" and separately had a hit song with the track "Truth
Hurts." However, the truth is now surfacing regarding Lizzo's
repeated acts of copyright infringement. Lizzo has been accused of
plagiarism over her songs "Truth Hurts" and "Juice."
Justin Raisen, Jeremiah Raisen, Jesse Saint John and
Yves Rothman state they co-wrote some of "Truth Hurts" with Lizzo
(melody, lyrics and chords) but she took the credit and money
(royalties) for it. They even have photos of Lizzo in the studio
when they wrote the song.
Famous dance music artist, CeCe Peniston, who sang
the massive 1992 hit "Finally" has accused Lizzo of stealing a part
of the hook from her hit and using it on the track "Juice." Lizzo
uses Peniston's ad-lib so many times that it comprises nearly a
third of the song "Juice."
Lizzo also recently falsely accused a delivery woman
of eating some of her food. She posted the woman's photo online.
When the delivery driver saw Lizzo's post she became angry and
threatened to sue her for defamation. Lizzo quickly retracted her
claims.
At this point, between the stealing music to claims
of stealing food she probably ate herself, Lizzo has been discredit.
People online are calling her a fraud. Take note. This is how you
tank your own career. All she had to do was share credit and pay
royalties to be in accordance with domestic and international
copyright law. All she had to do was not falsely accuse the delivery
woman of stealing some of her food, to get laughs and likes on
social networking.
