Americans Angry Over $2 Trillion
Stimulus Bill That Provides More Help To Businesses Than
People
March 26. 2020
U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi
Americans on social networking are angry
over the $2 trillion coronavirus which just passed in
Congress. The stimulus bill will provide a one time
check to Americans for $1,200. Many argue that the
public has been asked to self-isolate/quarantine due to
the coronavirus, which shuttered businesses all over
America, leaving people with no paychecks, and $1,200
will not even cover rent/mortgage.
However, as many online are pointing
out, the bill will largely benefit corporate America,
not so much the American people. Congress needs to read
the online feedback on this matter. Americans are very
upset. America is the richest nation on earth. As such,
Congress could have done better than this for the
public. Many Americans and American journalists are
stating online that millions of Americans will not be
able to pay their rent/mortgage due to the
shutdown/quarantine and inadequate one time stimulus
check.
By comparison, America's neighbor
Canada, is going to give its people $2,000 per month for
4-months. They are scheduled to begin receiving checks
in 10-days. Congress should have done the same, as this
coronavirus crisis means many Americans have lost their
jobs, regarding some businesses that will not reopen.
Yesterday, a television news report stated the American
restaurant industry will lose 7,000,000 jobs in 3-months
due to the coronavirus crisis.
