Congress Slammed On Social Networking For
Delays In Coronavirus Relief BillMarch 24. 2020

The U.S. Congress, particularly Democrats, are being
slammed on social networking for failing to pass a bill to provide
relief to Americans suffering under the current coronavirus outbreak
(Covid-19). Many on social networking are slamming the head of
Congress, Democrat from California, Nancy Pelosi. Reports indicate
Pelosi took last week off, which delayed the vote, only for her
party to tank it.
Many Americans are anxiously awaiting a $1,000
stimulus check for April and another in May, to help tie them over
during quarantine/self-isolation. I have read complaints online from
Americans who state they can't even afford to go to the supermarket,
as they are not getting a paycheck during quarantine. Food stamps
need to be issued on an emergency basis in the interim, to help
people feed their families, while Congress squabbles over items that
should not even be in the bill regarding Covid-19.
An item in the proposed coronavirus bill regarding
elections, which has nothing to do with the virus and
could have waited in order to quickly get the bill
through to help Americans unemployed due to the
outbreak.
Pelosi has tucked away items in the bill regarding
elections and airplane emissions, which has absolutely nothing to do
with the coronavirus. Meanwhile, Americans are suffering. I am of
the belief this is highly irresponsible. Congress should debate said
issues at a later date and focus on passing relief for people and
businesses being impacted by the virus.
You've asked the public to quarantine, but are
dragging your feet on giving them the means to feed their families
and pay utilities at this difficult time. This behavior lacks
compassion. Frankly, the lack of urgency in passing the bill is very
alarming.
