A Million March In Washington For Gun Control In The Wake Of Florida Mass Shooting At Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School March 26. 2018
March For Our Lives crowd in Washington 1.2 million people took to the streets of Washington, DC to protest gun violence and demand gun control in America. The March for Our Lives was inspired and initiated by survivors of the Parkland, Florida mass shooting that killed 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Many students spoke at the march, including Yolanda King, the adorable, well spoken granddaughter of the late, great civil rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Yolanda King, the granddaughter of the late civil rights hero, Martin Luther King Jr. Over 30,000 people in America die each year due to gun violence. However, as many members of the U.S. Congress have been given millions in lobbying money, the issue has not had any traction in the houses of legislature.
