Remember on Saturday, May 2, 2009 in the Wolverine Trailing Behind Predecessor In Sales article I wrote: "
Wolverine: Somebody needs a manicure Well, it turns out I was right. Two days later it was announced the "Wolverine" numbers were inflated by almost $3 million dollars. Monday, Fox revised its numbers for box office sales and "Wolverine" actually made $85 million this past weekend, not $87 million, which is even worse, regarding the damage piracy caused. This means Wolverine made $38,000,000 less than its predecessor during opening weekend. Once again, as the release wears on, the financial damage shall become more apparent and fully inline with what I predicted for long term sales.
