The Queen's annual Christmas speech to Britain and the Commonwealth nations aired, in what has been a very difficult, scandal plagued year for the monarchy. The Queen (proroguing Parliament), Prince Philip (road accident that caused members of the public serious injury), Prince Andrew (pedophilia), Prince William (adultery) and Princess Eugenie (£4,000,000 wedding paid for by the British taxpayers who publicly complained) have had scandals this year. However, Prince Andrew's is by far the worst and threatening the future of the monarchy.

Observers in the press and public noted that pre-release stills of the Queen's speech showed photos adorning the room of her family members. However, many stated photos of Prince Harry, his wife Meghan Markle and their son Archie, were noticeably absent.

The trio have been spending more time away from the rest of the royals. Harry (The Duke of Sussex), Meghan Markle (the Duchess of Sussex) and sweetie pie Archie, spent Christmas in Vancouver, Canada (which is a part of the Commonwealth) with Meghan's mother Doria Ragland.

The Queen's speech did make brief mention of little Archie. However, emphasis was on second in line to the throne, Prince William and his family. The Queen has been upset by claims William cheated on his wife and the mother of his three young children, Kate Middleton, with one of her close friends, Rose Hanbury. Recently, Kate shrugged off William in a public taping of "A Berry Royal Christmas" momentarily forgetting they were not at home.

The Queen, who looked glum, did not acknowledge by name, any of the serious scandals plaguing her family. However, she made mention of having a "bumpy" year. One thing is for certain, the monarchy is in trouble, as it has never had a scandal like Prince Andrew. He has destroyed the prestige of the royal family and left the public very alarmed.
