The trademark dispute that erupted between Prince
Harry (the Duke of Sussex) his wife Meghan Markle (the Duchess of
Sussex) and Queen Elizabeth of England, regarding their use of the
word royal, after their planned March 1, 2020 departure from the
family, has been resolved. There were reports in the press this week
over the issues concerning the dispute, as it relates to the active
members of the royal family.

The Queen objected to the the couple using the word
"royal" for their forthcoming ventures, in submitted trademark
applications, which listed "Sussex Royal" as the name to be
registered. Prince Harry and Meghan have agreed to refrain from
using the word "royal" as a part of their trademarks. However, they
have retained their titles of the Duke of Sussex and the Duchess of
Sussex, which they will use for a variety of causes, projects and
merchandise.
Side Bar: this is all much ado about
nothing. After the disgrace Prince Andrew has heaped on the royal
family, via his connection with pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, the sheen
has been knocked right off any mystique and prestige the name once
had in Britain, the Commonwealth and the world. Prince Harry and
Meghan were bringing back an air of popularity to the royal family,
only surpassed by the late, great Princess Diana, who had taken them
