Police Identify Victim In Miami Beach Drugging
And Rape Committed By Two Tourists
March 29. 2021
Both men confessed to the crime and are in jail pending
arraignment. They are facing rape and manslaughter charges.
24-year-old Christine Englehardt of Pennsylvania was
raped and killed on Miami Beach on March 18, 2021. Photos have been
released of the victim, as family and friends hold a memorial for
the young woman whose life was drastically cut short during spring
break.
Englehardt was on vacation with tens of thousands of
other teens and people in their twenties, seeking to have fun during
spring break. Englehardt met two men at a restaurant, 21-year-old
Evoire Collier and 24-year-old Dorian Taylor. She accepted a green
pill from one of the men, which was later identified as the very
potent painkiller Percoset.

Shortly after, Englehardt began losing
consciousness. Collier and Taylor took Englehardt back to her hotel
room, then raped and robbed her of her credit cards and mobile
phone. She was later found dead by hotel staff, while they partied
on Miami Beach using her credit cards.
Englehardt may have consumed an alcoholic beverage
as many on Miami Beach do on spring break. Mixing alcohol and
prescription drugs, especially a medication as strong as Percoset,
can lead to death (it is also unwise to drink and consume ecstasy
tablets, as that too can lead to a deadly overdose). Toxicology
reports are pending in the case.
