Miss California Keeps Crown May 12. 2009
Miss California Carrie Prejean Donald Trump gave a dignified speech today proclaiming Miss California Carrie Prejean can keep her crown. I am in agreement with this decision. Donald Trump’s Speech:
In an impassioned speech, Carrie Prejean spoke about her right to free speech and the awful bullying she endured for politely stating she believes marriage is between a man and a woman. She also stated, in accordance with her faith, she forgives those like Perez Hilton, who have viciously attacked her. Carrie Prejean’s Speech:
When will Hollywood learn, when you wrongfully try to destroy people, as you routinely do, you make yourselves look like beasts with no respect for human life and others’ well being. No one respects that. The gays in Hollywood need to stop violating the law in bids at suppressing and destroying free speech, free press and free thought. Learn to let people be. I think Focus on the Family’s Jim Daley summed it up best, in stating Carrie’s views represent the majority of California’s that voted for Proposition 8, "Here's the irony: she's representing what I believe is the majority of Californians in that regard. More people in California agree with her than disagree…If she said she supported gay marriage, would we be talking about her today?" President Obama’s views against gay marriage:
This suppression of free speech in several democracies of the world, at the hands of some, not all, gay people, has gone too far. It is invalidating nations’ governing laws, upon which their countries are based.
Perez "the hateful homo" Hilton For example, in Britain, a well-known BBC shock jock, Chris Moyles, joked on air about a ringtone. He said he didn’t like it because, “It sounds gay.” Who told him to say that! Gays called in and wrote to a British regulatory government commission reporting his statements as a hate crime. Yes, really! They kicked up a stink. It went before a commission that dismissed the claim, stating it was not a hate crime.
Perez Hilton If a homosexual DJ went on the air and said, “I don’t like this ringtone. It sounds Christian” the gay community would approve and not expect a single complaint to be filed with the government. Double standard...and with all the Christian bashing coming out of the BBC via sick shows like Torchwood and Dr. Who, helmed by a privacy invading, Kabbalah cultist, gay man, Russell Davies, the network would do well to find some balance (and look into what Davies has been doing behind the scenes, which is going to cause your network a massive amount of shame for years to come). |
