This is a follow up to the March 10, 2020 article "Carl Crawford Blames Jay Z
Introducing Megan Thee Stallion To Beyonce For The Rapper Breaking Her
Contract To Release An Album That Has Now Flopped."
Megan Thee Stallion's 9-track album "Suga" under new
unskilled manager Jay Z flopped, coming in at #10 on the charts and
selling 41,000 album equivalent (streaming) copies in its first week
of release (5,000 physical copies were sold).
In week two, "Suga" fell out of the top 20, landing
at #24. The lead single "B*TCH" flopped, coming in at #31 on the
charts. The second single "Captain Hook" debuted at #74 on the
charts and has not sold well either.
Jay Z pushing Megan to sue the indie label that
signed and managed her, 1501 Certified Entertainment, was a mistake.
It was very poor management and a decision based in greed. It was
not in Megan's best interest. It was in Jay Z's best interest.
Beyonce and cheating husband Jay Z
1501 Certified Entertainment, owned by
multi-millionaire, former baseball player, Carl Crawford,
did all the work and spent significant sums of money in
making Megan famous. Then, Jay Z did his usual, in trying to
unethically profit off others hard work and money.
Jay Z thought Megan would be the next Cardi B, who
racked up number ones on the charts and millions in sales. However,
under Jay Z's management it failed. In light of the massive amount
of publicity Megan received on television, radio and the internet,
her album should have been a hit with higher sales. However, it
fizzled, as it has no hits and was handled by Jay Z, who does not
know what he is doing.
One cannot release an album without any hits. It
will fail. It is that simple. The people who truly know the music
industry and how hits work, know this. For this reason men such as
music executive, Clive Davis, found much success in the industry.
Davis is one of the people in music who knows how to
find and spot a hit. It made women such as Whitney Houston and Toni
Braxton very successful singers. However, you must have an ear for
it. Jay Z does not have that ability. Now he has damaged Megan Thee
Stallion's career that was doing well until he showed up.
