Additional news has emerged regarding the car crash
of actor and comedian Kevin Hart, which occurred on September 1,
2019, in Los Angeles at approximately 1:00AM. It was originally
reported in the mainstream press that Hart was a passenger in the
vehicle, which careened off the road and into a ravine, due to
suspected speeding.
It was previously stated that Hart's security team
removed him from the accident scene and took him home, while
emergency services later extricated the other occupants of the
vehicle (Hart's friend Jared Black and his fiancée Rebecca
Broxterman). However, a witness at the scene of the crash reported
the driver was pulled out through the window by security, who
arrived in an SUV. This is leading to speculation that Hart was the
one driving the vehicle.
It was originally reported that Hart was fine at the
hospital. However, new reports state something was protruding from
his back when he was taken home after the crash and he was "not
coherent at all." This prompted his wife to call 911 to transport
him to the hospital.
Wreckage of Hart's car
It is now being stated doctors at the hospital
discovered Hart’s back is fractured in three places, which is a
serious injury that can result in long-term problems with pain and
mobility. Severe injuries of this nature from auto accidents are
referred to as "burst fractures" and "fracture dislocations."
Hart was in severe pain and experiencing an
inability to walk or move on his own. He underwent surgery to fuse
his back, which entails injecting bone cement in the region.
However, multiple fractures of this nature in the back require
months of healing and physical therapy after surgery.
Side Bar: I know this is not the time for
this but guess what, one of the symptoms of a back fracture is “loss
of height” and we all know Kevin can’t afford that.
