Jussie Smollett Fired From ‘Empire’
Television Show Due To Hate Crime Hoax Against President Trump

Hollywood actor, Jussie Smollet, 36, has been
fired from the “Empire” television show, due to a divisive hate
crime hoax he perpetrated in Chicago. Smollet paid two “Empire”
actors $3,500 to wear red hats resembling those of President
Trump’s MAGA supporters (Make America Great Again) and to accost
him on a public street in Chicago at 2:00 in the morning on
January 29, 2019.
Initially the crew of “Empire” released a
statement saying the rumors of Smollett being written out of the
show are untrue. Then one day later when he was indicted and
arrested by prosecutors in Chicago, the Fox network, who airs
the show “Empire” released a statement stating they are
evaluating their options.

The next day, when it was announced Smollett was back on set
and with a glib attitude,
completely dismissive of the gravity of what he has done
regarding nearly starting a race war, Fox announced the actor is
fired. Smollet has been written out of "Empire" and at the worst
time possible for him, as he needs money for legal fees.
The irony of all this is producer Lee Daniels
knew what Jussie was doing, in trying to secure his place on the
show and get a salary increase. He looked the other way to it
because it smeared Trump and his supporters and drummed up more
attention for the show, which they hope will mean more ratings.

Struggles to Decide His Fate

back on the set of “Empire” in Chicago following his release from
police custody on Thursday, Variety has learned. Smollett was
released after posting bail in Chicago after police charged him with
staging what was originally reported as a hate crime last month. He
was originally intended to film throughout this week on the Fox
series, but his role was dramatically reduced in light of his
ongoing legal troubles.
Fox has stood behind the actor for the most part,
issuing multiple statements backing him as evidence grew that he had
staged his own assault. Earlier on Thursday though, the network
released a new statement that said in part, “We are evaluating the
situation and we are considering our options.”...

‘Empire’s Season By Producers
February 22, 2019 7:20am - One day after Jussie
Smollett was arrested on multiple felony charges over last month’s
alleged racist and homophobic attack in Chicago, the producers of
Empire have cut the actor from the rest of the show’s fifth season.
“The events of the past few weeks have been
incredibly emotional for all of us,” executive producers Lee
Daniels, Danny Strong, Brett Mahoney, Brian Grazer, Sanaa Hamri,
Francie Calfo and Dennis Hammer in a statement this morning in
reference to the supposed assault of January 29 and the subsequent
legal fallout.
“Jussie has been an important member of our Empire
family for the past five years and we care about him deeply,” the
producers added. “While these allegations are very disturbing, we
are placing our trust in the legal system as the process plays out.
We are also aware of the effects of this process on the cast and
crew members who work on our show and to avoid further disruption on
set, we have decided to remove the role of ‘Jamal’ from the final
two episodes of the season.”...
