Hollywood is being ravaged by the coronavirus (Covid-19). Not only has coronavirus killed hundreds in Hollywood, it is also wiping out profits to the tune of billions of dollars lost. Hollywood has experienced record losses that has resulted in the bankruptcy of many companies in the industry. Tens of thousands of people in Hollywood have been hit with layoffs. People in Hollywood are losing their homes, cars and credit cards due to the pandemic.

Now comes word this week that Hollywood productions will be shutdown again due to coronavirus, in reference to, "Public outcry and pleas from health officials." SAG-AFTRA leaders Gabrielle Carteris and David White issued a statement on the matter revealing, "Most entertainment productions will remain on hiatus until the second or third week of January if not later."

Hollywood Productions Will Be Shut Down Until Mid-January, Per SAG-AFTRA, Amid Public Outcry and Pleas From Health Officials

According to the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), Hollywood is mostly locking down for a while. In a note penned by SAG-AFTRA leaders Gabrielle Carteris and David White, the labor union informed its membership of the plan.

“Most entertainment productions will remain on hiatus until the second or third week of January if not later,” Carteris and White wrote. “This means that the number of our member performers working on sets right now is reduced.” The announcement comes days after the L.A.
