Britney Spears Still Crazy ...But Wants Out Of The Conservatorship March 30. 2009
Sony Music artist Britney Spears is still crazy (ok, so this is not surprising news, but humor me). While on stage last week, during her dreadful sounding song Do Somethin', Britney did somethin'...told the crowd "Merry Christmas." Ok, it's the end of March. Maybe the psych meds are too strong.
In other news, Britney Spears' dad Jamie is trying to close down her most popular fan site, Breathe Heavy, because the owner publicly spoke out against Britney's conservatorship. The site owner is making peanuts running it and it doesn't even cover fees associated with keeping it online. The Spears camp have come off looking like bullies for it. Merry Christmas, Everybody! Britneys “Circus” tour hit DC last night (March 26th), and during “Do Somethin” she spread some holiday cheer and yelled “Merry Christmas!” to the crowd. It’s toward the end of the clip, around the 50-second mark... Britney's Lawyers Shutting Down Her #1 Fansite ...And now they’ve turned their attention to shutting down the biggest Britney fan site out there. Brit’s legal team has decided to force Breatheheavy.com to shut down, citing copyright infringement and profit off of their client. Breathheavy is run by a student, who started the fan site five years ago while he was still a sophomore in high school. He's put in countless hours (and his own money) because he's a passionate Britney fan. The site owner, Jordan, who is devastated by the copyright infringement lawsuit, tells Hollyscoop, "this is the saddest day of my life." "It pains me to think all the support and love I've shown Britney over the last 5 years ends up in a potential law suit fueled by her power-hungry father," he tells Hollyscoop. Jordan is currently a journalism and media studies major at the University of Las Vegas who coaches gymnastics to little kids on the side. Brit’s lawyers told Jordan his site needed to be closed by 3PM today or face injunction. Therefore he wrote a “last letter” to fans telling them Spears’ legal team and her father Jamie Spears threatened “I will destroy your a**.” ... Jordan is also fighting claims he is profiting from Google and Ticketmaster ads saying the revenue from those placements barely even cover the $350 expense per month to keep the site running. In fact, in a document retrieved by Radaronline, the site’s earnings in February from Google totaled to $206.30... Jordan is being punished for creating a forum in which Britney fans can come together. Not cool!! |
