Britain's Prime Minister Boris Johnson Is Failing At Negotiating Trade Deals With The European Union And America

February 25. 2020

Boris Johnson

File this one under "things that could not have come at a worse time." British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, who is not worthy of the post he holds, spent the past 9-days hiding from the public in 10 Downing Street in London, England (the Prime Minister’s official residence). Johnson has been completely running amok and cracking up under pressure. Johnson has only been in office for 2-months, yet managed to take 20 vacation days.

Johnson is also demanding all briefings be kept to 2-pages. As far as I know, Prime Ministers are supposed to keep abreast of local and international developments via reading newspapers, political magazines and government reports. Prime Ministers are supposed to read more than 2-pages per workday. This man is clearly not cut out for the job. His mind can't take it, as he's mentally ill and very distracted. He is going to fail Britain very badly.

Last week parts of England were hit by terrible flooding due to the storm Ciara. Many of Johnson's voters live in the regions that were heavily impacted. They made pleas on television for Johnson to visit them and he patently refused to do so. Instead, Johnson’s Labour party rival, Jeremy Corbyn, visited the flood ravaged areas (another indication Corbyn was the better choice for Prime Minister).

Johnson, who was the face of Brexit and has been misleading the British people on the subject since 2016, regarding Britain’s exit from the lucrative European Union (EU), is failing in his efforts at trade talks. As I’ve stated on this site and social networking for years, the ball is in the European Union’s court, as they are a region of 500,000,000 consumers, where Britain has 65,000,000 (see my tweet below). Now Johnson is complaining this month that trade negotiations with the EU are not going well.

U.S. President Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson

Speaking of that, Johnson has encountered massive trouble regarding trade talks with U.S. President Donald Trump. Previously, Trump promised Johnson a great trade deal and encouraged him to take Britain out of the European Union.

However, one week after Johnson dragged Britain out of the European Union, his friendship with Trump disintegrated. Trump recently informed Johnson Britain is not the priority, but making a trade deal with the European Union takes precedence for America. This spells bad news for Britain. I knew this was going to happen and warned against it 6-months ago, prior to Britain leaving the European Union:

My tweets on Twitter dated August 18, 2019 (6-months ago) predicting Boris Johnson would get bad trade deal which is happening now.

In 2017, 2018 and 2019 I also kept warning about the perils of not striking the proper trade deals:

Now Johnson has Britain out of the EU and financially vulnerable in the world, with its businesses already having lost over £1 trillion and counting due to Brexit. Johnson is a terrible negotiator, who doesn’t care about anyone but himself. In the lead up to Britain leaving the European Union, when he was informed it would significantly damage the British business sector, Johnson insanely and angrily stated “fu*k business.”

Only a fool would think business is not vital to the success and stability of a nation. The business sector of each nation provides jobs and international revenues. These income streams are taxable and the funds are used to build and maintain schools, pay teachers salaries, keep street lights on at night and pave roads. It is also used to pay for police, the military, emergency responders, government hospitals and firemen, among other items.

Boris Johnson has introduced a new immigration system that does not permit "unskilled labor" to enter Britain, only seeking "the best and the brightest." Meanwhile, the populations of most nations largely consists of people who would fall under "unskilled labor" based on Johnson's definition.

For years I have warned that Britain should get the U.S. trade deal done as soon as possible and not wait for an exit from the EU to do so. Johnson did otherwise and is now negotiating with other nations from a position of weakness. The whole world knows Britain just left the EU and is in need of trade deals.

Due to the fact the negotiations are occurring when Britain is most vulnerable, it has become a situation in the world of you’ll-take-whatever-we-give-you. Johnson is a piss poor politician, who is going to bring Britain to its knees with his reckless behavior.

I previously warned Johnson would make the poor and middle class pay for tax breaks to the rich. Last week it was announced that towns all over Britain would seek the maximum council tax of 3.99%. This means thousands of British pounds less in the pockets of the poor and middle class, who need the money more than the rich, who will hardly feel the increase.

Priti Patel

Johnson has also unwisely introduced a new points based immigration system that will stop “unskilled workers” from staying in and immigrating to Britain. Johnson’s Home Secretary, Priti Patel, debuted the new system. As people have pointed out, such as Labour politician David Lammy, if the new system had been in place years ago, Patel’s parents would not have been allowed to come to Britain. Not to mention, she would not have been Home Secretary. Now she proudly stands touting a very flawed immigration system that will damage the British economy to the tune of billions of pounds.

The restaurant industry is going to take a financial hit. So many of Britain’s restaurants are staffed by immigrants. Some native British people are stating this will force restaurants and other businesses to pay higher wages. However, having worked in the restaurant industry and knowing it very well, if a location of a fast food chain can’t make payroll, they will raise food prices, which means some customers will not be able to afford the meals. As things go along and they ascertain they still can’t make payroll, they will let everyone go and close the location or locations.

The hospitality, agriculture and construction industries in Britain, will also take a financial hit under the new points based immigration system. The aforementioned businesses are not charities. They are in business to make money. When they see this is no longer feasible, they close up shop. This creates more unemployment and less taxable revenue for the state. The National Health Service (NHS) will also be negatively impacted by the new points based immigration system.

Boris Johnson thinks the old British empire is going to return but it is not coming back. He is at risk of losing what is left of it with his terrible political policies.

Johnson doesn't know what he's doing. Johnson infamously and crazily stated he knows more about the car industry than the CEO of Jaguar Land Rover, Ralf Speth, a man who has over 40-years automotive experience at several corporations, and a degree in engineering. Meanwhile, Johnson never worked in the automotive industry and has no business or engineering degree. Only a madman would have stated something like Johnson did under those circumstances.

This is classic delusions of grandeur, which Johnson suffers from and has infected the small-in-numbers-but-loud-in-voice racist far right in Britain. They’re all suddenly experts, but without experience, training or degrees in the subjects being discussed regarding Brexit and business, despite the fact the futures of 65,000,000 people are riding on the erroneous items they're spouting.

The xenophobic and racist items being stated by Johnson and the far right, are scaring off people from Britain that the country needs. They will not realize it until it's too late via massive financial damage and labor shortages. Then it will be a struggle to get people to come to Britain and help repair the damage, as they will be too worried they'll be racially or xenophobically slurred by the far right.

Trump is set to strike a trade deal with the EU ahead of the UK as his relationship with Boris Johnson sours

Feb 12, 2020, 6:54 AM - The Trump administration is set to prioritise trade talks with the EU over trade talks with the UK, despite previous assurances that Boris Johnson's government would be at "the front of the line" for a trade deal.

White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow said this week that restarting talks with the EU "will be easier" than starting from scratch with the UK. Diplomatic relations between Donald Trump and Boris Johnson have cooled significantly in recent weeks following Johnson's decision to back Chinese telecoms company Huawei. The decision prompted a furious call from Trump at the end of which he "slammed down" the phone on Johnson.

Donald Trump looks set to prioritise trade talks with the EU over the UK, as his relationship with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson sours. Trump's administration had previously insisted that the UK would be "at the front of the line" for a new trade deal. However, White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow told Bloomberg News last week that because of the existing "structure" in trade talks with the EU, "reigniting that will be easier" than starting from scratch with the UK...
