On Friday, June 19, 2020, America recorded 30,000 new coronavirus cases, which set a record. A pattern has emerged of cases spiking all over America, particularly in the red states (Coronavirus Cases Rising In U.S. Red States). Florida alone recorded 6,000 new cases this past Friday.

Doctors and scientists are alarmed, due to the dramatic, ongoing rise in new cases in America, as other comparable nations in size and wealth, have seen the number of coronavirus infections "plateau." America is experiencing the exact opposite, which is very dangerous for public health. Major U.S. states such as Florida and Texas have run out of hospital beds due to the new surge in coronavirus infections.

The Associated Press also reported, "In Tulsa, Oklahoma, many people gathered for President Donald Trump’s rally Saturday evening, concerning health officials as the state experiences a continued increase in case." Oklahoma experienced a record number of new coronavirus cases this past weekend.

It is proof the virus is not over, though some members of the public have erroneously pronounced otherwise. Medical professionals all over America have been telling people to wear masks, social distance, use hand sanitizer and wash their hands. However, a large segment of the population, who believe coronavirus is a hoax, are not heeding the warnings. It is placing America in a very vulnerable situation and with the highest coronavirus death toll in the world.

Cases are surging in states in the South and West and Midwest. Arizona, Florida, California and Nevada and South Carolina reported record-high single-day increases in Covid-19 infections on Friday.
