Warrant Issued In Minnesota For The Arrest Of Singer R Kelly On Child Prostitution Charges

September 12. 2019

R Kelly

An arrest warrant has been issued against disgraced singer R Kelly for missing a court date in Minnesota. Kelly was charged with sexually abusing an underage girl in Minnesota, whom he paid for sex acts. The charge is for two counts of engaging in prostitution with an underage girl.

However, as R Kelly has four active criminal cases against him for sexually abusing underage girls, he is incarcerated in Chicago. Kelly has two federal cases in Illinois and New York. He also has a state case in Illinois. The most recent criminal filing against the pedophile singer is in Minnesota, for which the bench warrant was issued.

The prosecutor in Minnesota informed the judge that Illinois authorities are, “Not willing to give us access to him.” The feds have a one two punch lined up against Kelly in the federal cases and are keeping him in their jurisdiction. Sending him elsewhere first could lengthen the initial cases and their accompanying trials.
