Vine Video App Co-Founder Found Dead In His New York Apartment Of Drug Overdose

December 17. 2018

Colin Kroll

Yesterday 34-year-old Vine founder, Colin Kroll, was found unresponsive in his New York apartment. It is believed he died of a cocaine and heroin overdose, as both drugs were founding the property. Police were called to do a welfare check and discovered his dead body in the bedroom with drug paraphernalia close by.

Colin co-founded the popular video app Vine, which allowed social networking users to make and distribute short videos online. The videos became known for being humorous and became the go to app for independent content creators who sought to make and share comedic vids on the internet.

Twitter purchased Vine and Kroll was fired not long after on allegations he behaved inappropriately regarding female co-workers. Vine was also shutdown. Many on social networking still regret the app being discontinued. Kroll then founded the HQ Trivia app which became a popular mobile download.

34-years-old is young to die. He had everything to live for, but is now gone much sooner than should be, thanks to drugs. Kroll had a family (parents/siblings), girlfriend, a luxury apartment, millions of dollars and a thriving career. His early passing is a senseless waste of a promising life. A terrible drug epidemic is sweeping America and Kroll is one of its latest victims.
