Sony Music artist Usher had a scare yesterday before the Grammys, when his wife suffered serious complications from plastic surgery in Brazil. Tameka Foster, who left her ex-husband to be with Usher, needed the services of a top neurosurgeon, after reacting poorly to the procedure. The two currently live in Atlanta, but she went to Brazil, seeking privacy for the surgery.

Her body had already been through a lot recently, as she gave birth to two children in separate pregnancies, in a short space of time. She is also almost 40 years of age. These factors present additional risks in any type of surgery. Suffering from insecurity over leaving her husband for a younger famous man and his fans slamming her conduct and looks, Tameka opted for surgery. There’s nothing wrong with plastic surgery, but she did it for the wrong reasons.
