Tamar Braxton's post about boyfriend David Adefeso

R&B singer and reality star, Tamar Braxton, is currently recovering in the hospital from a suicide attempt. The singer was so distraught over the problems in her career that she tried to take her life via alcohol and prescription pills.

Braxton's Nigerian boyfriend, David Adefeso, discovered her unresponsive in their hotel room and called 911. Paramedics transported the singer to the hospital. She was later transferred to a psychiatric facility for further care regarding mental illness. Braxton posted a message on Instagram thanking her boyfriend for saving her life.

Braxton has been in a dispute with WE TV, which is the network that distributes her reality shows. She is of the belief the company has exploited her family and portrayed them in a negative light on television ("Braxton Family Values" "Vince And Tamar" and "Tamar Braxton: Get Ya Life!").

Hollywood is not what it is cracked up to be. I try to warn people via my articles to be careful of going into the industry. It has damaged or destroyed many people. It's not what it appears on the outside. It's not about bringing quality entertainment. It is about greed and exploitation.

WEtv to honor Tamar Braxton’s request to end future work

LOS ANGELES (AP) — WEtv will honor Tamar Braxton’s request to end future work together, but the network expects to premiere the singer’s reality show next month. The network wished Braxton “nothing but the best” in a statement Monday. Her reality series called “Tamar Braxton: Get Ya Life!” was expected to premiere last week, but the show has been postponed to Sept. 10.

“Tamar Braxton has been an important part of our network family for more than a decade,” the statement said. “As she focuses on her health and recovery at what is clearly a difficult and personal time, we will work with her representatives to honor her request to end all future work for the network.”...
