Stars That Tip Off The Paparazzi

Some celebrities are known for tipping off the paparazzi as to where they will be, to help the photographers get photos for publication in different outlets.

Stars do so for publicity and in many cases payment. While I think it's very contrived and generic, it's their business if they choose to do so, as it's not illegal. 

For example Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt from MTV's show "The Hills" are being accused of tipping off the paparazzi as to their whereabouts and striking deals with them. They shamelessly seem to be friends with the paparazzi, often considered plebeians in Hollywood.

However, what about stars like Lindsay Lohan, who tip off the paparazzi, even take payment from them for photos, then pretend to the public they can’t stand them, even calling the police on the photographers. Can you say drama queen.

If you are going to tip them off so you can get your picture in the press, at least be honest about it and not waste the police's time. Then again, honesty’s not Lindsay's strong suit, now is it.

Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton panders to the paparazzi every chance she gets, as she doesn't really have a discernable career. She is a woman known for selling out her name and image in every way possible for a quick buck, including with the paparazzi.

While there's no substance to what she does, she doesn't pretend to hate them. The only moments she seems bothered by them is when they photograph her doing something bad or falling down.

Britney Spears

During the time Britney's mental illness was massively out of control, prior to her dad getting her on meds, she did not leave the house without calling the paparazzi. It created a circus the Los Angeles Police Department denounced, telling her to stay in her house.

The paparazzi were her constant companions and it cost her big time. They patronized her just to get extremely unflattering and controversial photos and video footage of her in a debauched state.

Said photos and videos, streamed live on the internet, created indelible images that went a far way in destroying her public persona. It's had a lasting effect as well, as to this day, she is in the tabloids every week.
