R Kelly

53-year-old R&B singer R Kelly has lost his appeal to be freed from Chicago's Metropolitan Correctional Center jail, under the coronavirus outbreak that is sweeping America. Kelly, who is a child molester and rapist, is awaiting trial on four cases in three U.S. jurisdictions.

The presiding judge labeled Kelly a flight risk and denied bail. The judge stated, "Kelly is currently in custody because of the risks that he will flee or attempt to obstruct, threaten or intimidate prospective witnesses. The defendant has not explained how those risks have changed."

Indeed. Kelly's manager was arrested for threatening to murder one of the singer's victims and her family, on his behalf. Kelly has threatened other victims in the past, such as the late R&B singer Aaliyah, whom he illegally married under false pretenses when she was 15 and he 27.

R Kelly is a danger to girls and women. He should not be free. The judge also noted there are no cases of coronavirus at the Metropolitan Correctional Center. For the foregoing reasons, bail was denied.
