Scooter Skated While Paris Waited

One Walked, One Served Time, Both Convicted Criminals

July 9. 2007

Scooter skated while Paris waited...in jail. Both were convicted, but one walked. Libby got off light. In light of that, there has been a major international uproar regarding Scooter Libby's clemency. Many call it a continued lack of accountability on the White House's part and I agree.

Lying about the war, billions missing in Iraqi oil, mass unconstitutional wiretapping, not turning over files, deleting incriminating emails, dodging Congress and the American people and now letting off a crony who has been convicted of a serious crime...without him even spending a single day in jail.

Scooter didn't even get shanked or anything and he is free. Didn't drop the soap, not once...yet he is a free man.

Scooter must know where all the bodies are buried:

All this stuff is called corruption. This country, and every country in the world, belongs to God. He let us live in His world. Over time, each country established its own government. The ones in the West, mainly, who operate as democratic nations and not dictatorships, are subject to accountability. Therefore, they are not private enterprises where people do as they wish and answer to no one.

Somewhere, Paris Hilton is heard crying, “How come they didn’t grant me cele..clim…clame…clemency! Yea, that’s it. Clemency!” Actually, based on reports, she's back to her old partying ways. That didn't take long, now did it.

I’m not against pardoning people, but those who have shown contrition, served some time and didn’t commit some egregious violation of the law.

Like I wrote in the last Libby article, I hear Mexico is nice this time of year. That’s if they’ll grant Scooter amnesty. I’m sure there is room to give a job to a gringo to plant and harvest lettuce…because if you pay that fine, your gonna be strapped for cash. What am I saying, Cheney will pay it for you.

Speaking of the Cheneyster, my web site statistics program reflects hits/visits from Halliburton. Sorry Mr. Cheney, I have no oil. A little Crisco may be, but no oil. Well, actually, not Crisco, olive oil. That can't start a car.

(MY LOGIN NAME REDACTED IN RED, HALLIBURTON ADDRESS HIGHLIGHTED IN RED):

This isn’t about Scooter Libby, as I don’t know the man (if I did, boy would I have some explaining to do). This is about the law and lack of accountability. I don’t like that in any leadership in any country in the world.

It’s like an accountant refusing to show you your books. Countries aren’t sole proprietorships. You can’t do with them what you wish. You don’t own them. There must be accountability.
