Rod Blagojevich Convicted Of Lying To The FBI

August 17. 2010

Rod Blagojevich

President Barack Obama's Chicago associate, former Governor, Rod Blagojevich, has been acquitted of 23 criminal charges. However, the jury convicted him on the sole charge of, "Lying to the FBI." The Judiciary Report has written several articles over the years, pointing out the fact, it is not a good idea to lie to the FBI, as it will draw an easy conviction.

U.S. President Barack Obama

The jury clearly was not convinced by the prosecution's claims, which alleged Blagojevich engaged in gross impropriety, while in office. The charges the jury dismissed against him, comprise the bulk of the government's case. All that press madness was for nothing. Whether they will successfully retry him remains to be seen.
