Rapper Jim Jones turned himself in to the police after attacking queer R&B singer Ne-yo and his boyfriend, while they shopped at a Louis Vuitton store in New York.

The rapper, a rival of Jay-Z, is facing up to one year in jail and fines for the attack. He is scheduled to appear before a judge in February 2009.

On Monday Jim Jones spoke with the NYPD about a physical altercation between him and Ne-Yo’s camp that took place on Christmas Eve.

Police found that Jones involvement in the incident warranted a misdemeanor assault charge and a court appearance in February.
