Paris Hilton's Reality Show Is Cancelled Poor Ratings Cited As The Cause Of Cancellation August 30. 2011 Paris Hilton Hollywood Her latest reality show "The World According To Paris Hilton" has been unceremoniously cancelled by cable network, Oxygen, for exceptionally poor ratings. The show averaged 400,000 viewers per episode, which once again, is less than a number of pop culture blogs' readership, but at one hundred thousand times the budget. When ratings are that low, it doesn't make sense to even turn on the camera. I'd leave the lens cap on and patronizingly nod at her like the camera was filming. When infomercials are pulling in higher ratings than you do on television, it's time to give it a rest. That's what Hilton gets for not having a massive, constantly publicized, nouveau riche wedding and butt implants that requires two surgeons to put them in. It's official, Hilton's time in the spotlight is over. She has become a pop culture relic. Considering the negative influence Hilton's had on young girls, teaching them by example to be n-word issuing, sexually promiscuous, STD transmitting, publicity hungry, pot smoking, coke snorting exhibitionists, this is for the best. With so many gifted people out there, networks need to do better to present more positive images to the public. The talent is out there, but regrettably, it is who you know and whether they can get you on television or radio.
