Moderna CEO, Stéphane Bancel, made very sobering statements about his company's coronavirus vaccine in reference to Covid-19. Bancel stated to Bloomberg News about the Moderna vaccine, "It's not a silver bullet. You see people going to crowded places with no mask or eating inside restaurants with no mask — I don't understand it. It makes no sense to me. It's like, you're going to get infected. The only question is when."

Bloomberg News stated regarding Bancel's comments on his company's vaccine, "Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel said that wearing a mask and social distancing are the "best weapon" to control the spread of the coronavirus right now."

Nov 19, 2020, 12:39 PM - Wearing a mask and social distancing are the "best weapon" to control the spread of the coronavirus, Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel said at Bloomberg's New Economy Forum on Thursday. Moderna recently announced that its experimental vaccine was found to be 94.5% effective against the coronavirus.

Bancel said in a recent interview with Business Insider that he expected people would likely have access to a vaccine by the summer. "It's not a silver bullet," Bancel said of a vaccine, adding: "You see people going to crowded places with no mask or eating inside restaurants with no mask — I don't understand it. It makes no sense to me. It's like, you're going to get infected. The only question is when."
