Michael Vick Plots Return To NFL April 4. 2009
Michael Vick The agent of football player Michael Vick is hoping his client will be able to return to the NFL this fall. Vick was incarcerated at the infamous U.S. prison, Leavenworth, on illegal gambling and dog fighting charges. Vick has paid his debt to society. What concerns me is some do not see it this way and are out to get him, which is very uncivil. The sick extremism some have chosen in their obsession with taking down this man is appalling. Such conduct places his life in jeopardy. As much as Vick broke the law, the ugly side some have shown in their zeal to destroy his career and businesses, even threatening him, is sickening. Animal rights extremists have been calling in favors in attempts at destroying Vick. Some of you ought to be ashamed of yourselves. When you do such things, you are just as bad as any criminal, because conspiring to destroy someone, who has not done anything to you, is nasty, uncharitable, unforgiving and vile. These are not admirable qualities. Some people care more about animals than they do people. Agent hopes Vick can return to NFL by September NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (AP)—An agent for suspended NFL star Michael Vick told a bankruptcy court on Thursday that he hopes the ex-Atlanta Falcons quarterback could return to the league by September. Joel Segal testified as part of a hearing to assess Vick’s plan to emerge from bankruptcy, which was designed with the goal of Vick returning to a professional football career. Vick, who left a federal prison in Kansas last week to travel to Virginia, was in court for the first time in the case. He is scheduled to testify Friday… |
