Meghan Markle Will Have To Be Selective About Movie Roles After Leaving The Royal Family

April 22. 2020

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, will have to be careful in choosing movie roles, now that she has left the British royal family and taken husband, Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, with her to live in Hollywood. Markle is in her native California resuming her acting career, after several years on the television show "Suits." Markle seeks to become an actress in films.

The couple have retained their royal titles, which means the royal family will scrutinize their choices from a distance. Even if they had given up the titles, they would still face some scrutiny from a distance. If Markle takes movie roles containing explicit content, the royal family will intervene behind the scenes to get the project scrapped. They do not want royals associated with anything explicit or controversial. It will be interesting to see which projects Markle chooses.
