Jeweler To The Stars Sentenced To 2 ½ Years Bling Bling In Sing Sing June 24. 2008
Jacob the Jeweler, real name Jacob Arabov, a favorite of hip hop stars, was sentenced to 2 ½ years in prison for lying to the Feds about his involvement in a drug ring. I’ve written about this before. Never lie to the Feds. You will draw a jail sentence worse than the one for the crime you are accused of, when they figure out what you've done. For further reference see Martha Stewart and Lil Kim.
Jacob has been accused of helping the Black Mafia crime syndicate launder drug money. Rapper Young Jeezy’s name has been called in that case as well, as having been given kilos of cocaine to sell. You know dude had a Maalox moment when that little tidbit went public.
Jacob and P-Diddy I don’t know why the entertainment industry is always getting mixed up in illegal deals (*looking at Jay-Z*). Some are never satisfied with their greed for money, while others try to live up to a gangster image. Either way, it is all very unwise and extremely risky.
Jacob and Pharrell Williams After Jacob's sentence,
