Hollywood cults such as Scientology and Kabbalah have been brought into disrepute by claims of abuse against minors. Scientology was abused of molesting children, under the misguided belief, it would renew the youth of the adults that engaged in this sick conduct.

A number of former Scientologists have publicly stated, children in the cult are sexually abused and viewed as sex slaves. However, due to the cult being fronted by celebrities such as Tom Cruise and Will Smith, the FBI has looked the other way to very serious allegations of abuse. Members of Kabbalah have also engaged in inappropriate sexual contact with minors.
