Former President Donald Trump Acquitted In
Impeachment Trial For A Second Time (Video)
February 17. 2021
Former U.S. President, Donald Trump, has been
acquitted in the Senate on charges of inciting insurrection,
leading to the January 6, 2021 riots at the Capitol building.
Five people died and over 60 police officers were injured during
the incident.
Trump is the only president to be put on
trial twice. He is also the only president to be
acquitted twice. As stated previously on the site before the
vote, the Democrats did not have enough votes to convict and it
is unconstitutional to impeach a past president. The
constitution states the president must be in office to be
impeached.
However, I will state this, the Democrats at the
urging of
House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, have set a precedent that
could come back to bite former presidents Barack Obama and
George Bush in the butt. Not to mention, incumbent Joe Biden, as
they've all committed impeachable offenses but were not tried.
Bush belongs in the Hague over the Iraq war and
other human rights abuses. Obama and Biden dropped more bombs on
the Middle East than anyone else in U.S. history. They also
committed other serious human rights abuses, the severity
of which have not fully come to light yet.
