Bush Slams Obama May 15. 2008
John Edwards (left) Barack Obama (right) George Bush made statements abroad today that many interpreted as a dig at presidential candidate Barack Obama. His comments were denounced by senators Nancy Pelosi, Joe Bidden and Hillary Clinton: "Some seem to believe we should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along," the President said to the country's legislative body "We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: 'Lord, if only I could have talked to Hitler, all of this might have been avoided.' We have an obligation to call this what it is –- the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history." Bush shouldn’t be so quick to invoke Hitler, considering his grandfather Prescott Bush built their family fortune on the suffering of the Jewish people, as banker to the Nazis. Your family funded the construction of one of the most heinous places that ever existed, Auschwitz. If your administration engaged in more truthful diplomatic talks, using the guideline that cooler heads prevail, 3,000 U.S. soldiers and over 1 million Muslims wouldn’t be dead.
More and more you reveal through your conduct that diplomacy is not on your agenda. You’re the Jerry Bruckheimer of presidents - you like to blow stuff up for no reason. You are an incredibly wicked human being, who has exhibited an enormous capacity to watch and financially profit from the unspeakable suffering of others (the Bush family has oil stocks). It is remarkable how you do this without conscience, but it is clearly a terrible trait you picked up from your grandfather. |
