Britney Spears’ promotional trip to Britain didn’t go as planned. She was supposed to perform live on sadistic Simon Cowell’s “X Factor” show and was condemned by British audiences and the press for lip syncing through a lazy performance.

What did people really expect. Britney Spears is not a singer. She is a pop creation, fabricated in a recording studio, full of equipment, designed to make anyone and I do mean anyone, listenable.

The real Britney is a very poor vocalist that can’t write music and is an unsophisticated, unintelligent mess. She sold records, because of her looks and sexuality and now that they have faded, so has her career.

…But many were disappointed that she performed for only four minutes on her British comeback - and didn't even sing.

She mimed to her new hit Womanizer on the ITV show on Saturday night, apparently because she wanted to concentrate fully on her dance routine. By contrast all the contestants, who are not professional singers, had to deliver their own performance live.

And she also SNUBBED contestants — by rehearsing in private and later revealing she hadn’t even watched them sing her hits.

Finally, she SCARPERED minutes after Saturday’s show and went to London’s G.A.Y. club. Britney — in a Rolling Stones T-shirt — failed to sing even though 1,500 fans chanted her name and gave her a cake for her birthday on Tuesday…

When they finally met, Cowell asked the troubled star if she had seen the five acts perform her songs. Britney replied: “No”…

The insider said: “Everyone was stunned she admitted that she hadn’t watched the show. There’s a TV in the dressing room.

“Simon tried to have a conversation, but Britney was pretty vacant. In the end he just walked off.” Host Dermot O’Leary was equally baffled when he asked Britney what she thought of the acts. The singer — who jetted out of Britain last night — answered: “Yes, awesome, thank you…
