Beware Of Book "Natural Cures" August 26. 2008
The book “Natural Cures” by Kevin Trudeau falsely promises natural cures to everything from cardiac arrest to cancer. His claims have been evaluated by many and pronounced fraudulent. Furthermore, the book does not have the cure to cancer as he claims. This man was even marketing “coral calcium” as the cure to cancer when it is not. “Coral calcium” has its benefits, but it is not the cure to cancer.
Here’s something else you may not know
My mother, not aware of the scam, bought the book from a TV ad and I didn’t know until later, when she started complaining about unauthorized charges to her bank debit card. All these miscellaneous charges for different products began to appear. It was only when she called Trudeau’s 800 number back that she discovered they were the ones that did it. They’d sold her card number to other companies. I decided to look it up online to see if
it happened to
others as well, and lo and behold, many consumers had been complaining
of the very same thing. While others complained their cards were charged
and they didn’t even get the
Mr. Trudeau should face fines and jail time for operating his business in such a shady manner. Bad enough his book is a scam, but to give other companies his customers’ credit card numbers to charge their products as well, and without permission, is fraudulent and illegal. To date he has sold 3 million copies of the "Natural Cures" book. Why has this man been allowed to continue to rip off the public, under such false pretenses and for so long. Not enough is being done to stop this fraud, as when he and his fellow merchants start charging away on the public’s collective credit cards, without permission, it will interfere with people’s other bills, creating multiple overdrafts to millions of consumers’ bank accounts. The New York State Consumer Protection Board issued a warning in 2005 that the book "does not contain the 'natural cures' for cancer and other diseases that Trudeau is promising." It asserted that "Trudeau is not only misrepresenting the contents of his self-published book, he is also using false endorsements to encourage consumers to buy Natural Cures They Don’t Want You to Know About." The Board also alleged that Trudeau is selling the consumer's contact information to other marketers without their consent and hitting purchasers with unauthorized charges. |
