Obama Pushes Congress To Pass $1.1 Trillion In New Spending December 15. 2010 Barack Obama U.S. President Barack Obama is pushing Congress to pass $1.1 trillion in new spending, with the erroneous idea it will stimulate the failing economy. However, it stands to reason, after a few trillion in spending over the past two years failed to remedy the economic crisis, more red ink shall not repair the problem. These spending patterns are clearly going to continue throughout his presidency, leading to a deeper financial pit of toxic debt. Obama is set to meet with business leaders next week, imploring them to increase hiring and spending. He has given them a fortune in taxpayer money, but approximately $2 trillion in funds are being hoarded to the detriment of the nation. A portion of the funds have been stolen and misappropriated as well.
