Nurse Contracted Coronavirus In Hawaii That Has
Remained In Her System For 32-DaysApril 10. 2020

Nurse practitioner Lisa Merck contracted the
coronavirus while on vacation last month in Hawaii. Merch appeared
on the television program "Inside Edition" on Wednesday, speaking
about her battle with the serious virus that has claimed the lives
of 88,000 people worldwide.
Something the nurse stated during the interview
caught my attention. She stated she has struggled with the virus for
at least 32-days and it still "has not shed." Considering
international guidelines state one is to self-isolate for 2-weeks,
the virus remaining with people for over a month poses a serious
problem regarding its spread.
Another example would be Britain's prime
minister Boris Johnson. We know he contracted the virus prior to
March 27, 2020. Yet it continues to wallop him. Johnson is currently
in recovery at the hospital, after spending 3-nights in the
intensive care unit. Johnson has been infected with coronavirus for
over 2-weeks. Therefore, 2-weeks of isolation is insufficient.
Reports have been surfacing for the past week and a
half that some patients who tested positive for coronavirus, then
negative for the infection after recovery, are now stricken with it
again. This poses a public health risk regarding others becoming
infected by people who thought the virus was out of their system
after the internationally (WHO) stated 2-week incubation period.
Doctors need to periodically test patients again who have recovered
from coronavirus, until a sufficient amount of time has passed
indicating they are in the clear.

After a whirlwind Hawaii vacation, a CO woman returns home and
tests positive for coronavirus
March 14, 2020 at 9:10 PM HST - Updated March 16 at
4:48 PM - HONOLULU, Hawaii - A Colorado woman who visited Hawaii for
more than two weeks in February has tested positive for the
coronavirus.
Lisa Merck, a 50-year-old nurse practitioner,
visited Oahu, Maui and the Big Island between Feb. 3 and Feb. 18. On
her way back home, she said she started getting sick. “I started
having a tiny, tiny sniffly nose, then a few little sneezes, then
muscle aches and pains,” she said.
“The next thing was extreme exhaustion. When I
showered I was really felt out of breath and really tired. And then
on March 1, 2, and 3rd, I got a fever.” She said a flu test came
back negative. But she kept getting sicker, eventually forcing her
to go to an emergency room at a Colorado hospital on March 8..
