Woman Shoots Up You Tube Headquarters In California Over Deletion Of Her Account

April 4. 2018

Nasim Aghdam

A woman opened fire at the San Bruno, California headquarters of the popular video sharing website You Tube, which is owned by Google/Alphabet. Three people were shot during the incident (a 36-year-old man and two women, ages 27 and 32) then the shooter turned the gun on herself, resulting in a self-inflicted fatality. The Los Angeles Times stated the woman in question is 39-year-old Nasim Aghdam.

Aghdam, complained online that, "Youtube filtered my channels to keep them from getting views. There is no equal growth opportunity on YOUTUBE or any other video sharing site, your channel will grow if they want to!!!!!" Aghdam's page contained items about politics, vegan cooking and animal cruelty.

There is another comment posted a year ago in January 2017, where Aghdam stated that You Tube, "Discriminated and filtered her content." Aghdam had many page views, but they were drastically reduced when You Tube filtered her channel/page. The complaint is centered on You Tube stripping ads from some users' page and delisting them from the main search feature on the site, making it more difficult for people to find the videos based on subject/key search terms, if the company dislikes the content.

You Tube also censored her videos, slapping an an adult tag on them, stating they are not suitable for children under 18-years of age. This occurred due to the fact You Tube determined her workout videos were too sensual. In response to those claims, Aghdam complained that recording artists such as, Miley Cyrus, post explicit videos, but are not censored by the site.

You Tube should not have a double standard. Celebrities' accounts are not treated in the same manner as non-famous people, with stars given preferential treatment. You Tube should treat all site users the same. If you are going to censor one, censor them all, if they fall under the category of being sexually charged/explicit or contain objectionable profanity. Otherwise, people will accuse You Tube/Google of discrimination.

Another item of note is You Tube terminated Aghdam's page this week for "terms of service" violations. The page stated it was, "Terminated due to multiple or severe violations of YouTube's policy against spam, deceptive practices, and misleading content of other Terms of Service violations."

It appears she was enraged over the termination of her You Tube page, which they kept diminishing until they decided to delete it altogether. You Tube/Google also has a thin-skinned policy that states you cannot badmouth or criticize the company online and they reserve the right to terminate pages who do so. Aghdam openly criticized them for filtering and censoring her You Tube page. This could also have contributed to the involuntary termination of her You Tube page.

If the person is unbalanced enough, said treatment could spark an inexcusable shooting, like the one that occurred yesterday at You Tube's headquarters. Other social media pages for Nasim Aghdam have now been removed from the internet, which has become standard corporate procedure in a mass shooting of any kind.

There is no excuse for opening fire on people, who have done you no harm and pose no threat to your immediate physical safety. The shooting that occurred at You Tube is entirely illegal and inappropriate. Members of the public must refrain from engaging in acts of violence.

Side Bar: You Tube's policy is going too far and it is politically motivated. It is showing an open, left leaning bias. In 2016, You Tube terminated the page of Danney Williams, the Arkansas man, who claimed to be the illegitimate son of former President Bill Clinton. The termination was politically motivated and a violation of free speech laws in America.

Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton have done their level best to silence Danney Williams, who has two law firms representing him in a paternity case against Bill Clinton. They had his You Tube page shutdown, which was unethical

Most people will peacefully accept losing a social media account and move on (or sue in court). However, a person that is troubled like Aghdam, will retaliate with violence, as was seen yesterday. Once again, I implore the public not to follow in Aghdam's footsteps by resorting to violence.

Authorities probe whether woman who opened fire at YouTube had grudge against video platform

Apr 03, 2018 | 9:45 PM - A woman opened fire at YouTube headquarters in San Bruno, Calif., shooting three people with a handgun before taking her own life and causing widespread panic in the technology hub south of San Francisco. A law enforcement source identified the alleged shooter as Nasim Aghdam. Investigators initially believed the shooting was a domestic incident, with the shooter targeting someone who worked on the YouTube campus.

But one law enforcement source said the investigation is now looking into a website in which someone with a similar name complains about YouTube stifling traffic and suppressing videos. The source stressed that the investigation is in its preliminary stages. "Youtube filtered my channels to keep them from getting views!" reads the site, which along with complaints about the streaming video service includes videos promoting veganism and photos of a woman in an array of outfits, including long dresses and a camouflage unitard...
