Woman Sentenced To 10-Years In
Prison For Hiding A Gun In Her Vagina And Smuggling
It Into A Jail

to 10-years behind bars for smuggling hand gun
(pictured right) into prison
39-year-old convicted felon, Amy
Wilhite, has been sentenced to 10-years in prison
for smuggling a loaded handgun into a Missouri jail.
Wilhite was arrested on a felony drug and weapons
charge, then taken to the Boone County jail in
Columbia, Missouri in February of this year.
Police did an initial body search
but missed the loaded handgun, as Wilhite had it
stashed away in her vagina. Wilhite, who had done
time behind bars before in separate incidents,
removed the gun from her vagina once she was booked
into jail and in her cell. Authorities later found
the gun with five bullets in Wilhite's cell.
The ironically titled website, the
Smoking Gun, pardon the pun, reported on the
incident, "During questioning at the jail, Wilhite
admitted possessing the firearm, but claimed 'she
was only holding it for another female detainee.'
But fellow inmates in Wilhite’s housing unit 'all
stated Amy was in possession of the firearm,” an
investigator reported.'"
The Smoking Gun further reported,
"In addition to copping to the gun smuggling charge,
Wilhite pleaded guilty on April 19 to the felony
drug and weapons counts for which she was originally
arrested. She was ordered to serve five years on
each conviction, with the sentences to run
concurrently with the 10-year prison term."
Apparently, smuggling a gun into
jails and prisons via one's vagina has become a
thing in some states. The Smoking Gun website also
stated other women in U.S. states such as,
"Tennessee, Illinois, and Oklahoma have also been
convicted of trying to enter a jail with a gun in
their vagina."
This is highly inadvisable. If the
gun goes off while in the vagina it can lead to
incontinence, infertility or even death. It is a sad
statement about how dangerous jails and prisons have
become that inmates want guns to protect themselves.
People have been assaulted,
battered, raped, maimed and even killed behind bars.
Just because someone is behind bars does not mean
they deserve to be abused or killed. Prison safety
must improve. It should be a government priority.
