Chris Rock was loudly slapped across the face by Will Smith during the Oscars

Will Smith's fall from grace continues, as he has abruptly resigned from the Academy Awards, pending an internal review of his appallingly bad behavior during last week's Oscar ceremony. The telecast received very low ratings, but people all over the world have been slamming Smith's conduct, as the actor insanely slapped comedian, Chris Rock, across the face with significant force and contempt, over a joke he made about his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith. Footage from the telecast showed Jada laughing during and after Will's illegal assault on Chris.

News surfaced this week from the Academy Awards committee that the Los Angeles Police Department was waiting outside to arrest Will for assaulting Chris. However, Chris declined to press charges. The police stated Chris can still press charges if he wishes. However, Chris cried over the incident and stated he is still in shock. Will threw away his career via this incident and it is poetic justice considering all the careers he has ruined in the industry with his unethical and arrogant actions.

Oscars' guests and viewers are still reeling over Will Smith's surprising and infamous onstage slap of comedian Chris Rock, who joked about Jada Pinkett Smith's hair. Shortly after, Smith went onstage to accept the Best Actor Oscar for his role in King Richard.

Will Packer, producer of the Academy Award ceremony, told the ABC News show Good Morning America that until the slap, the show's producers were ecstatic about how well the evening had been proceeding. " It was like someone poured concrete in that room," he said. "It was this feeling of — what just happened? Is this real? How am I supposed to react? So it sucked the life out of that room and it never came back." Packer told GMA that Los Angeles police officers were ready to arrest Will Smith if Rock wanted to press charges...
