Why do so many stars fall afoul of the law. It is simple, because many entertainers think they are above it. Many achieve fame and acclaim for being unethical in their professional careers and it spills over into their personal lives.

They see no need for behaving, as legal consequences are removed when one is famous. They set a bad example for the public and it erodes confidence in the judiciary. No one likes a double standard. It also makes the public resentful of those that receive special treatment and they are less inclined to support them in buying their products.
