Videos Effectively Disprove Police Officer Amber Guyger's Claim That Botham Jean's Apartment Door Was Ajar When She Unlawfully Killed Him (Videos)

September 12. 2018

Civil rights activist, Shaun King, posted a video to his Instagram social networking page, disproving the claims of police officer, Amber Guyger, who has been arrested on manslaughter charges, in the shooting death of financial analyst, Botham Jean, 26. Guyger, 30, who had just left work for the day, was on the wrong floor of the building she and Jean resided before she killed him.

Guyger's weak defense in the case is she thought Jean's apartment was her own. The apartment building uses electronic FOB keys, uniquely assigned to each unit. The public wondered out loud on social networking how Guyger got into Jean's apartment with such electronic keys as a deterrent (they flash a red light when inserted into the wrong door). First it was stated his door was closed, which alarmed the public who wondered how she got into the unit with an FOB key.

Botham Jean was a financial analyst and Christian choir leader

Guyger then offered up the claim that Jean's door was not closed, but ajar (open) and the lights off, to explain how she ended up trespassing in his unit and shooting him to death. This version still made no sense. As stated on the site last night, why would anyone be in their apartment with the lights off and the door open. It made no sense.

However, as attorney Griggs demonstrated in a video on his social networking page, the doors in the building do not remain ajar. Once opened, they shut on their own and lock themselves. I have seen a home with such a lock, which engages the minute the door automatically slams itself shut (or someone closes it manually). Therefore, Guyger is lying, as many people have suspected since this dubious claim she made surfaced as an excuse for committing murder.

Once again, neighbors also heard Guyger yelling, "Let me in! Let me in!" to Jean, who did not know her, and shortly after responded "oh my God. I cannot believe you just did that" which were his last words. Justice must be served. This type of precedent cannot be permitted to stand, regarding illegally entering someone's home, without a warrant and no probable cause, then shooting them to death. Others will begin to invoke it as a defense for murder (the Guyger defense). She must be found guilty. Guyger deserves life in prison for cutting down Jean, such a promising young man, who was in his prime, leaving his family and friends bereaved.
