Uh Oh: New Show "NBA
Wives"
December 8. 2009
Shaunie and Shaq O'Neal
In what may scare a number of NBA basketball players, a new reality
show, in the vein of "The Real Housewives" series, has been announced
entitled "NBA Wives." It stars, Shaunie Nelson O'Neal the wife of NBA basketball player,
Shaquille O'Neal. Considering the two are legally separated, Shaq may
not like what comes out on this show.
Shaunie also pitched the show and roped in other NBA wives such as,
"Charlotte Bobcat Eric Williams' wife Jennifer, former Heat player
Antoine Walker's ex-fiancée Evelyn Lozada, Shaunie O'Neal, and former
Heat Dancer Royce Reed, whom a judge recently banned from even speaking
the name of her baby daddy, the Orlando Magic's Dwight Howard." As the comical saying goes, "Be afraid, be very afraid." I may watch
a little bit of this show, maybe the first 57 of 60 minutes, to see what
is going to be said.
Heat Wives Keep It Reality TV
The wives of Jermaine O'Neal and Udonis
Haslem have signed on for "NBA Wives"
Updated 3:41 PM EST, Tue, Dec 8, 2009 -
They met at 17. Became a family with the addition of a beautiful
daughter. Married in a storybook wedding in the Bahamas. And if we know
our reality TV, Jermaine and Mesha O'Neal will be embroiled in a nasty
divorce, oh, about...tomorrow.
The Heat center's wife has signed up to
star in VH1's "NBA Wives," a half-hour "docu-soap," along with forward
Udonis Haslem's girlfriend, Faith Rain. The show is the brainchild
(labor pains: negligible) of Shaunie O'Neal, who recently filed for
divorce from husband Shaq in a hail of hilarity...
The show will air in March 2010, with
O'Neal and Rain featured alongside Charlotte Bobcat Eric Williams' wife
Jennifer, former Heat player Antoine Walker's ex-fiance Evelyn Lozada,
Shaunie O'Neal, and former Heat Dancer Royce Reed, whom a judge recently
banned from even speaking the name of her baby daddy, the Orlando
Magic's Dwight Howard.
Oh, yeah. This'll end well.
